General description

Takscope is a teaching resource for Kindergarten and Elementary School that provides teachers, facilitators, and students with tools that guide the Science learning process among with the Scientific Method. The site "Enhances teaching for beginning to master teachers with hands-on science activities using the research based on the 5 E lesson cycle."

The site is divided in two different ways:

1. The three areas of Science: Life Science, Physical Science, and Earth/Space Science; each one is subdivided by grades and themes.
2. Grades from Kindergarten to fifth grade; Each subdivided by the three Science areas and themes.

Each theme contains:

1. Objective
2. Lesson Outline- general description of the lesson and materials.
3. Teacher background- the foundation the teacher needs for the lesson.
4. ELP chart- tool use for documenting yearly practice and progress.
5. Material list- resources needed
